Product Vision

The product provides a unified royalty dashboard that aggregates earnings from live performances, radio, TV, games, and streaming into a single, transparent view. It simplifies complex royalty structures and improves financial clarity for artists and rights holders. An embedded AI assistant (“Roy”) enables natural language queries about royalties, usage, and payouts, reducing friction and support needs. The system also includes PRO-ready exports for direct submission to Performing Rights Organizations, streamlining administrative workflows. Additional features include structured catalog management, a conceptual “Listen Now” tool that surfaces who is earning from currently playing music, and automated monthly performance reports with global and geographic breakdowns for clearer insights.

Problem

This was a solo project where I led and executed the entire product lifecycle from initial ideation through to high-fidelity prototyping in Figma. I developed the core concept, conducted market and competitive research, and defined the product strategy along with key features and business model considerations. I designed the user journeys and overall UX architecture, translating them into detailed UX/UI and interaction design. In parallel, I created the branding, visual identity, and naming, ensuring a coherent product expression across all touchpoints. The project also included copywriting and product messaging to support clear communication of the concept. Music royalties are fragmented across platforms, territories, and formats (live, radio, TV, streaming, games). For many artists, tracking earnings and handling PRO submissions is time-consuming, opaque, and error-prone, often pulling focus away from creative work.

Result

Roy demonstrates my ability to: Identify real-world problems in the music and creator economy Translate complex systems into clear, user-centered products Think across strategy, UX, UI, and business Communicate product value through design and storytelling This project showcases how I approach early-stage product definition, from zero to a cohesive, investor- and user-ready concept.
